CYBORG NINJA’S ANATOMY, FEAT. DRAWING OVER CN CONCEPT ARTWORK

What you can see up here is the state of Fox’s body after he has been placed in the exoskeleton. It is, in part, an armor that covers his organic body (in red) and part cybernetic prosthesis (in blue) that is grafted to it.
Fox lost about a third of his body when he died in Zanzibar and the Patriots subsequently recovered his basically-corpse. Because of that necessarily the exoskeleton also provides some life support functions.
He is also still obviously less machine than future cyborgs; the research into that field began with him. As much of his body was salvaged as possible, but potentially at the cost of more optimal functioning.
In any case, Fox’s entire nervous system and certainly some muscle and bone are deeply attached to these external structures. Gene therapy and nanotechnology were tested on Fox as well in hopes to mitigate his body’s stress and rejection responses to the suit.
Rejection that worsens with interrupted medical therapy and lack of the constant sedation Dr. Clark had him under, nerve damage along with the misfiring of the skeleton’s stimulation causes Fox’s painful fits. His artificial limbs and the wire implant fused to his spine are not detachable.
Unlike Raiden, Fox still bleeds and pumps his very own blood.
The benefits the suits brings are heightened speed and agility. Although Fox had been a quick and skilled fighter previously, it absolutely enhanced his abilities. However, the same is an additional strain on his remaining, biological body.
Even the detachable parts of his armor are firmly adhered to Fox’s body with screws anchored in bone (in green).
